We are a small factory that produces bags without exploiting our workers. We produce in Thailand and mainly sell in Europe. We require a Magento site with very minimalist design (like: asphaltgold.com) The only extra layout requirement is how different colors of the same product are presented. In the category view we want one large image of the product and next to it smaller thumbnails of all other colors available. So the choice for a color is not made on the product detail page but in the category page. This eliminates the need for a complicated swapping script on the details page (we have multiple images per product color), eliminates an extra step for the customer and makes sure everybody sees all colors without going to the product detail page. Then we want to integrate the Sweet Tooth customer loyalty module + the additional Magento Referral/Affiliate Module for Sweet Tooth. We want to encourage customers to refer new customers and reward them with points in their account for every purchase by people they referred. Also we want to reward customers for supplying extra info (Twitter/Facebook/blog/homepage) about themselves and for uploading a photo of themselves with their purchase. Some products in our catalog will carry an "exclusive" label and customers can only buy these items if they pay fully or partially with saved points. Furthermore we want to be able to enter products that are not for sale at all. Another requirement is that below the product details people see a list of every same product sold. We produce limited editions and want to show how many we produced, how many were sold and when and where they were sold (Country, City, Initials of buyer and if available Twitter/Facebook/blog of customer and a tiny thumb of themselves with the product). With every product there is also a picture thumb of the employee who made the product. Clicking this link will show a page with employee details and picture plus a grid of thumbnail customers uploaded related to products they have made. We prefer a one page checkout (or max two page) with the following extra's. We want a gift wrap module plus a field for a custom message. Also we want to offer customers the possibility to give a tip to the person shipping their order. After the order is completed the customer gets screen asking them if they want to supply us with a picture and extra information in return for points after they received their purchase. A week after shipping the goods they will receive an email with a link to a page where they can enter the details and upload their picture. The points earned will be credited to their account after the supplied info is screened and approved by us. We also want to use the web-shop as an extremely simple POS in our shop. Shop staff can log in and they basically see the same site as customers. Only on the category page they already see an order button so they do not need to go to product details. When everything is added to the shopping basket staff can choose pay cash, Visa, MasterCard or reward points (or a mix of these) The actual payment will be handled manually. When the payment is done there is the possibility to print an A5 size receipt on a regular printer (with product thumbnails). The possibility to scan bar codes would be nice but is not a requirement. The POS is meant to be "quick, dirty and cheap :-)" Besides regular customers and employees a third user group are wholesale clients. After they supply their VAT number they will be able to log in. They basically see exactly the same site. The only difference is that they see wholesale prices and these prices are excluding VAT. Also they use different shipping rates. The last of our requirements is a blog page integrated in the site. Preferably Wordpress but something else may be OK too. All logo & artwork will be supplied and besides test data we will do all data entry ourselves. The design will be quite tightly based on an example and a complete sitemap will be provided. All programming should be done according to Magento standards, meaning that everything should be upgrade proof if a new Magento version is installed. We require professional work with good coding standards and documentation in case another programmer needs to add to or alter the code. In the past I have worked as as a Visual Basic / ASP programmer so I am easy to work with (But I can read your code :-) Bidders must be able to supply references/portfolio or have good feedback. Core message(s) of the website that every visitor should easily grasp: * There are real humans behind the website. * The products are basically all limited editions because we are a small producer * We do not exploit workers. * Our designs are timeless and not fashion sensitive * We pay customers to promote our products instead of spending on advertising. * Shipping is free (EU) or cheap After the project is successfully finished I am sure we will come up with more ideas for a phase two of the project. |
